Electrolysis allows you to remove unwanted hair permanently from small areas such as the eyebrows or the upper lip. It works by destroying the hair follicle with a tiny current which prevents regrowth.
During treatment, a thin needle is inserted into pores that house unwanted hair. With the needle placed in the same direction as hair growth, the electrologist sends a current to the hair cell and destroys the follicle. A hair follicle destroyed by electrolysis has little chance of growing back. However, there is a slight chance of hair returning since hair cells are constantly trying to regrow.
Depending on hair color and thickness, you may require more than one session. The treatment works for all hair types but works best for fine, light hair like peach fuzz above the lips. In certain situations, we may recommend starting with a laser to remove thicker, darker hair and then finishing with electrolysis.
