What Are Photo Facials?
A 20-minute LED-light treatment that eradicates acne-causing bacteria and leaves your face feeling awake and refreshed. The light penetrates below the surface of the skin to awaken fibroblasts and stimulate collagen and elastin production for the next 18-21 days after treatment. Pores are minimized, dark circles under eyes are reduced, lips are puffed, and wrinkles are reduced.

How Does It Work?
A photo facial has a multi-step treatment process. Prior to the treatment the skin is cleansed and depending on the condition of the skin, a photosensitive medication is applied. The skin is then exposed to specially designed light pulses that are absorbed by pigmented spots or blood vessels in the sub-surface skin layers. The heat from the light destroys the targeted vessels or spots and clears them from the skin as the body goes through the healing process.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Results may be visible after one treatment depending on the condition of the skin. For optimal results, we recommend three to five treatments spaced three to four weeks apart. Results may vary.
What Can I Expect Post-Treatment?
Patients may experience some mild redness and discomfort, similar to the stinging sensation of a sunburn, that should subside within a day or two. The skin goes through the healing process after the procedure and the full effects of the treatment will become visible over several days. Spots in the treated area may immediately darken following your photo facial. Over the course of one to three weeks, these spots will begin to fade and/or flake off. We recommend patients apply sunscreen if they plan to participate in outdoor activities following the procedure.
