What Should You Expect?

The procedure begins with the doctor making marks on the injection sites using an eyeliner pencil. The dermal filler is then injected using a cannula with a smooth tip or a needle that is ultra-fine. After the procedure, the doctor massages the injection sites to ensure that there are no bumps or irregularities. In some critical areas such as underneath the eyes and cheeks, local anesthesia may be used to prevent bruising.
What Should You Do before and after Treatment?
You should avoid blood thinners before and after the procedure to prevent bruising. Other supplements and medications to avoid include fish oil, Vitamin E, ibuprofen, and aspirin for one week before the Radiesse® treatment and for 48 hours after the treatment.
