Why 35 to 60-Year-Old People Should Consider Radiesse

Radiesse®

As we age, the ability for our bodies to produce collagen lessens – most notably from age 35 onward. There are plenty of solutions available to combat this, such as Radiesse®.
Radiesse® is a filler which can be used to plump folded or wrinkled areas of the skin. It is typically used on the face, and it can also be used to smooth wrinkles on the hands. This filler is administered under the skin by a small injection. All ingredients in the injectable are non-toxic, non-allergenic and completely compatible with the natural tissues of the body.
How Does Radiesse® Work?
The injectable stimulates the natural growth of collagen. It’s a long-term solution to wrinkles as it helps the skin to develop new collagen. Results are immediately visible, although full results are most noticeable after a week of treatment. Many individuals enjoy long-term results for up to two years before a repeat treatment is required.
Is This Treatment Convenient?
The beauty of treatment with this injectable is that it can be performed in minutes. It’s a non-invasive procedure which means you can leave for home or the office directly after your appointment. Treatment typically takes no longer than 15 minutes, making it ideal for busy professionals who want to look their best.
The Difference Between Radiesse® and Juvéderm®
Both of these products are dermal fillers which serve much the same purpose, although there are differences in the manufacturing and preparation of each.
Juvéderm® comes as an injectable gel made from a hyaluronic acid base, whereas Radiesse® is made from calcium-based microspheres. Both treatments promote the production of collagen in the body. Collagen is a naturally-occurring protein which is responsible for the strength and elasticity of the skin.
Radiesse® treatments are generally quicker than Juvéderm, which can take up to an hour to perform, dependent on what part of the face is being treated.
What Happens after the Treatment?
Radiesse® is manufactured from calcium hydroxylapatite – the same mineral found in human bones and teeth. Once collagen growth has been stimulated, the calcium is absorbed by the body over time, leaving nothing but a fuller, firmer, wrinkle-free appearance for months or even years to come.
