What Is a Keratin Treatment?
A keratin treatment is a hair-straightening service. Keratin is a protein that occurs naturally in the hair, and it can actually strengthen hair. Our trained stylist will apply the keratin to the client’s hair and then seal it in with a flat-iron.
It takes time for the keratin to soak completely into the hair, so the client should generally wait three or four days before washing it after treatment. The result is beautiful, straight hair.
What Are Hair Extensions?
Hair extensions are used to make hair seem longer or give it more body and volume. They can be made from synthetic or real hair. At MacMed Spa, we offer human hair extensions as a way to ensure that they look completely natural on our clients.
Clip-ins and glue-ins are very temporary extensions often sold at salons. People buy them either for special occasions or to simply see what hair extensions are like.
However, at MacMed Spa, we apply our human extensions with silicone beads to promote hair growth. We proudly offer individual hair extensions or weft extensions. We work together with our clients to determine the best color, length and type for their unique situation.
