What Is the Plasma Pen?
The Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is a handheld plasma application that can be used to treat a range of aesthetic concerns, particularly those caused by the aging process. By introducing plasma to your skin, this fibroblasting treatment simultaneously treats the epidermis and dermis.
Fibroblasts are cells of connective tissue that produce Type III collagen, which is one of the collagen types that provides skin with structure and strength. Plasma Pen gently heats fibroblasts directly to promote collagen production.

What Could I Expect from the Treatment Experience?
Plasma Pen treatments are performed in the comfort of our Mac Med Milford and Hopedale locations. During treatment the handheld device converts energy to deliver plasma gas to the specific treatment area. The device itself never touches the skin and the device allows for complete control for comfortable, consistent treatment.
The healing is approximately four (4) days then you should be able to return to your normal daily activities. However, you may notice your skin flaking for a few days after treatment as your body produces refreshed skin. We have photos to show you what you may expect the days following treatment.
Results achieved with the Plasma Pen will vary for each person and the concerns addressed; however, you should begin to experience results shortly after treatment. The best results need up to twelve (12) weeks after treatment to complete tightening. Results may last for up to three years.
