Ever hear of the eyelash fairy? No? Well, Mac Med hasn’t either, which is why we’re glad that eyelash extensions exist and that we offer them to our clients.
Summer is the time when you want your makeup routine to be easy. You want to jump into the pool and not worry about getting raccoon eyes. You want to chuck the mascara that takes twenty minutes to scrub off. You want to skip the streaks, the smudges, and the shadows.
But you also want full, thick Elizabeth Taylor-style lashes and not the ones that Mother Nature, whether due to age or genetics, has given you.
Eyelash extensions can be the answer. They add length, thickness and even color to your lashes. You can go for high drama with the longest, thickest lashes – or choose a more every day, natural look. Best of all, they are water proof and sweat proof to keep you looking your best through all the good times of summer with little to no effort.
How can these lashes look so good? The answer lies in the application. Unlike seventies-style false eyelashes that are glued to your eyelids in a single piece, eyelash extensions are attached, one piece at a time, to your very own eyelashes – not your skin. They don’t cover and smother your natural lashes; they just extend them!
An expert Mac Med technician will apply individual lashes of varying thickness and length to give you the absolute best results. The process will take approximately one hour for a full set and approximately 45 minutes for a half set. If you get hooked, as so many women do, infills also take about an hour.
As you can see, in expert hands this is a meticulous procedure that requires total concentration from the technician. For your part, we want you to relax with your eyes closed and enjoy the peaceful ambience of our spa. Be forewarned, however: Sometimes clients get so relaxed here, they fall asleep!
Afterwards, you’ll leave Med Mac with the long, dark, thick lashes you always wanted and couldn’t get from a bottle of mascara. For the next two-four weeks, all you’ll need to do is use a lash styling wand to sweep stray lashes into place.
That’s it. No raccoon eyes. No streaks. No smudges. No oily mascara remover. Just natural-looking, gorgeous lashes. It’s the perfect procedure to try for a vacation or staycation, a wedding or graduation. But again, be forewarned: You may get addicted!
